Carnegie Mellon's Summer Academy for Mathematics and Science is a six-week residential experience that provides students from underrepresented communities who have interest in computer science, engineering and/or the natural sciences, with the opportunity to achieve skills in order to pursue and complete majors in STEM fields. There are no tuition, housing or dining fees for students selected to attend this program.

Louisiana State University Summer Scholars Program (SSP), which is a nine-week summer program that prepares high achieving under-represented minority students to make a successful transition from high school to college.  The program is open to 2020 high school graduates who are committed to earning their undergraduate degree at LSU.
